These terms govern your use of quantstep.com and everything we provide through it: the verification and measurement of trading records, introductions between traders and capital allocators, the trading job board, and the accounts that sit behind them (together, the “Services”).
The Services are operated by Quant Technology Group Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202404871E), a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at 68 Circular Road, #02-01, Singapore 049422 (“QuantStep”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a firm, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that firm.
Questions about anything here: team@quantstep.com.
1. What QuantStep is, and what it is not
QuantStep measures trading performance at the account level and introduces traders whose records meet an allocator’s stated criteria to that allocator. That is the whole of what we do, and the limits below are deliberate rather than temporary.
QuantStep does not hold, receive, route, pool or manage client money or assets. We are not a broker, a dealer, a fund manager, an exchange, a custodian or a payment institution, and we do not carry on any regulated activity requiring a capital markets services licence in Singapore or its equivalent elsewhere. Capital, where it is allocated at all, moves between the trader and the allocating firm under their own agreement, on the allocating firm’s own infrastructure.
Account access is read-only. Where you connect a trading account, we receive performance data. We never receive, request or hold trading permissions, withdrawal rights, or credentials that would allow an order to be placed.
Nothing on the Services is advice. We do not give investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, we do not recommend any trader, firm, strategy or instrument, and nothing we publish is an offer, solicitation or inducement to trade or to allocate.
Verification is not an offer of capital. A verified record means measured history, nothing more. No allocation, no introduction, no interest from any firm and no outcome of any kind is promised by it. See the risk disclosure.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You agree to give us accurate registration information, to keep it current, and to keep your credentials to yourself. Activity under your account is your responsibility. Tell us at team@quantstep.com as soon as you believe your account has been used by someone else.
Accounts are reviewed by a person before they are activated, and we may decline, suspend or close an account at our discretion, including where we cannot verify who you are or where an account would put us in breach of sanctions, anti-money-laundering or other legal obligations.
3. Verification and measurement
3.1 How a record is built
Measurement runs on data received from the sources you connect or authorise: a partner firm, a broker or platform, or a group account such as TraderWaves. We compute metrics such as tenure, risk-adjusted return, drawdown, recovery and consistency from that data, on a methodology we publish and may update.
3.2 What verification means
Verification means we received performance data from a source we consider reliable and measured it consistently. It is not an audit, an attestation, a due diligence report, or an assurance engagement, and it does not mean we have confirmed the underlying trades with the venue on which they were executed. It does not mean your record is free of error, and it does not mean anything about how you will trade in future.
3.3 Accuracy, correction and withdrawal
You must not misrepresent your record, connect an account you do not control, or manipulate activity to influence measurement. We may re-measure, correct, suspend or withdraw a verified record at any time, including where data turns out to be incomplete, where a source is disputed, or where we have reason to believe these terms have been broken. Where we withdraw a record we will tell you why.
4. Traders
You decide whether your record is shown to an allocator. Introductions are made on your instruction, to named firms, and you can withdraw that instruction at any time — see your privacy choices.
An introduction is the end of our role. Any allocation, funding agreement, profit share, risk limit or employment that follows is a contract between you and that firm, on their terms, and we are not a party to it and take no responsibility for its performance.
You are responsible for confirming that trading, and any allocation you accept, is lawful where you live.
5. Capital allocators
Allocator access is granted by review and may be withdrawn. Records, metrics and rankings are provided for your own assessment; they are not a recommendation and not a substitute for your own diligence, and you remain solely responsible for every allocation decision you make and for your own regulatory obligations.
You may use trader data only to evaluate a possible allocation. You may not resell it, publish it, use it to build a competing dataset or product, or contact a trader for any other purpose.
6. Partner firms
Where a firm connects its trading audience, no trader data moves before a data processing agreement is signed, and no individual trader’s record enters the network before that trader has opted in. Connections are read-only. A firm may end a connection at any time, and we will stop receiving data on notice.
7. The job board
The careers board aggregates publicly advertised roles at trading firms and links to each firm’s own posting. We do not host descriptions, receive applications, or act as an employment agency, recruiter or intermediary in any hiring process.
- Naming a firm on the board is not a partnership, an endorsement, a client relationship or any commercial arrangement, in either direction.
- Firm names and logos are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the source of a listing, under nominative fair use. Any firm may ask us to remove its listings and marks by writing to team@quantstep.com, and we will do so.
- Listings are aggregated as found, and our description of a role is a summary rather than the firm’s stated terms. Roles may be filled, changed or withdrawn before the board reflects it, so the firm’s own posting governs.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, altered or misleading performance data, or connect an account that is not yours;
- impersonate any person or firm, or misstate your authority to act for one;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise extract data from the Services, or attempt to reconstruct a database from it;
- reverse engineer the verification methodology, or probe, scan or test the security of the Services;
- use the Services to market, solicit or recruit outside the introductions the Services are for;
- upload anything unlawful, infringing or malicious, or interfere with the operation of the Services for anyone else;
- use the Services in breach of any sanctions regime or any law that applies to you.
9. Intellectual property
The Services, the verification methodology and everything we publish are owned by Quant Technology Group Pte. Ltd. or its licensors. You may use them only as these terms allow. The data you supply stays yours; you grant us the licence we need to measure it, to operate the Services, and to show it to the parties you have asked us to show it to.
10. Third parties
The Services depend on third parties — brokers, trading platforms, partner firms, group companies and infrastructure providers — and link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their acts and omissions, and a link is not an endorsement.
11. Availability, disclaimers and liability
The Services are provided “as is”. We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data, metric or record is complete or accurate, and we may change or withdraw any part of them.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, lost or withdrawn allocations, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of the Services is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and SGD 1,000.
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, from data you supplied, or from your dealings with a trader, an allocator or a firm you met through the Services.
12. Suspension, termination and changes
You may close your account at any time by writing to team@quantstep.com. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where continuing would expose us or another user to material risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do.
We may change these terms. Where a change is material we will give notice on the site or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Services after that date means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting proceedings, please write to us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
